We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. I used my usual combo of photoshop and illustrator. I continually cut apart, re-color and draw on top of an image in photoshop to produce the desired effect in illustrator. I also cut things up into several layers, so that all of the coloring works out. This took over two hours, but I really like how it came out.
